Título: Eficácia da tirzepatida no controle do peso e da composição corporal em adultos com obesidade e/ou diabetes tipo 2: uma revisão integrativa
Resumo: Objective: To analyze the efficacy of tirzepatide in the treatment of obesity and T2DM in adults
within the context of general lifestyle interventions, discussing its effects on body composition,
physiological mechanisms, and clinical applicability.
Methods: This is an integrative literature review conducted according to PRISMA guidelines.
Searches were performed in PubMed/MEDLINE, ScienceDirect, Virtual Health Library (BVS), and
SciELO using descriptors related to tirzepatide, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and dietary intervention.
Studies published between 2020 and 2025 in English or Portuguese and involving adult populations
were included. A total of 15 studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the final analysis.

Results: The findings indicate that tirzepatide promotes significant weight loss and glycemic control,
with superior outcomes compared to placebo and, in specific scenarios, compared to agents such
as semaglutide at certain doses. Substudies demonstrate that weight loss occurs predominantly
through fat mass reduction, alongside decreased intramuscular fat. Mechanistic evidence suggests
integrated effects on satiety, energy intake, and glucose-lipid metabolism, although without definitive
mechanistic superiority over other incretin-based therapies. Real-world studies indicate favorable
treatment persistence and a potential reduction in the risk of developing T2DM, although these
findings are subject to observational biases.
Conclusion: Tirzepatide shows robust evidence of efficacy in weight reduction and metabolic
improvement in individuals with obesity and T2DM. However, current literature does not allow the
identification of specific dietary strategies that optimize its effects, highlighting an important research
gap. Its use should be considered within a continuous multidisciplinary care model, including
nutritional and behavioral support.
Keywords: Tirzepatide; Obesity; Type 2 diabetes mellitus; Body composition; Nutritional
intervention.

Resumo: The use of nutritional ergogenic aids has increased significantly among athletes and physically active individuals due to the growing interest in improving sports performance and recovery. In this context, supplements such as creatine, caffeine, beta-alanine, nitrate, glycerol and sodium bicarbonate have gained attention in the scientific literature because of their potential ergogenic effects. The aim of this study was to critically analyze the scientific evidence regarding the efficacy, mechanisms of action, supplementation protocols and safety of these compounds in sports performance optimization. This study consists of a narrative literature review conducted through searches in PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus and SciELO databases, complemented by official scientific position statements. The findings indicate that creatine, caffeine, beta-alanine and sodium bicarbonate present the strongest evidence for performance enhancement in different sports contexts, whereas nitrate and glycerol show promising but less conclusive results. It is concluded that ergogenic aids should be used according to updated scientific evidence and individualized recommendations considering the athlete's characteristics, sport modality and training goals.

Resumo: Objective: To analyze scientific evidence regarding the contribution of the Nursing Process to improving the quality of prenatal care for adolescents, with a comprehensive, humanized, and equitable approach.
Methods: An integrative review was conducted in the SciELO, BDENF, and LILACS databases, using the search terms “Pregnancy in Adolescence”, “Prenatal care”, “Nursing” and “Nursing process”. Studies published between 2021 and 2026, available in full, in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, were included. Abstracts, editorials, letters to the editor, news articles, undergraduate theses, and studies that did not address the proposed topic were excluded. The selection of studies occurred in stages, and the data were analyzed descriptively, subsequently grouped into analytical categories.
Results: A total of 20 articles comprised the sample for this review, and the categories addressed were: I) The Nursing Process in identifying the biopsychosocial vulnerabilities of pregnant adolescents; II) The Nursing Process as a tool for building humanized care in adolescent prenatal care; and III) Health education and strengthening adolescent autonomy in the context of the Nursing Process. It was observed that nursing care contributes to the promotion of maternal and child health, the strengthening of the professional-patient bond, and improved adherence to prenatal care. However, weaknesses were identified regarding the systematization of care, the late initiation of prenatal care, low adherence of adolescents to health services, and the need for professional training.

Conclusion: It is concluded that strengthening humanized and systematized nursing practices is essential to ensure more welcoming, effective, and equitable care for pregnant adolescents.
