Resumo: Brazilian shrimp farming began in the 1970s with the introduction of the
species Penaeus japonicus. In the 1980s, there was an attempt to domesticate
native species. Also in this decade, Litopenaeus vannamei was introduced, which is
the most cultivated species in the country today. Shrimp farming can foment the
Brazilian economy. Nevertheless, it has negative effects, as contamination of water
bodies adjacent to the farms and the destruction of mangroves. This research aimed
to evaluate the situation of shrimp farming in the state of Rio Grande do Norte (RN),
especially with regard to its legal aspect. Initially, it was made an account of the
history of the Brazilian shrimp farming. Next, the positive and negative impacts of this
activity were commented on. We then discuss environmental licensing, its importance
and its underlying analysis. Subsequently, a survey was made of the licenses
granted by IDEMA for shrimp farms between 2008 and 2017. Finally, the possible
causes of the pattern of granting licenses during the study period were discussed,
showing that the number of licenses granted by IDEMA each year reflects the
situation of shrimp farming in the country.

Resumo: This study aims to examine the existing legislation in order to verify the legality of the
Report of Environmental Control (RCA) and environmental study for projects of extraction of
fossil fuel, as well as assess the Terms of Reference for preparation of the RCA, available at
Office for Protection of Environment of Rio Grande do Norte (IDEMA). For this study a
search was made on the issue of oil extraction, emphasizing the environmental licensing and
the legal basis related to it. Then it was purchased a Term of Reference for preparation of the
RCA, available on IDEMA's website to make a qualitative analysis of the information
displayed in the document, looking for possible flaws, if necessary, suggest improvements.
The Report of Environmental Control as an instrument of evaluation of impacts for the
licensing of the drilling of oil wells, is backed mainly, by Resolution No 10/90 and 237/97 of
the National Council of Environment (CONAMA). The Terms of Reference provided by
IDEMA, through its official site, serves its purpose, but need additions to the item dealing
with the biota. Finally, some suggestions were made to improve the quality of the RCA.

installed in oil fields in the state of Ceará. The study consisted in obtaining
physico-chemical data of the quality of the material inlet and outlet of the

Título: Estratégia de marketing para divulgação de projetos científicos ambientais desenvolvidos no centro de lançamento da barreira do inferno
Resumo: When it comes to the size of native forests and preserved areas, Brazil holds the greatest
plant biodiversity in the world. However, the capitals and major cities have experienced
significant population growth, degrading native forests vegetation, as well as causing an
imbalance in biodiversity. This has forced corporations, whether government or private, to
adopt measures that meet this new concept of values in the interaction with the environment.
To this end, the present study evaluated the role of an Air Force military unit located in the
municipality of Parnamirim-RN, the Centro de Lançamento Barreira do Inferno (CLBI), in aid
of preserving the environment of the territory under its jurisdiction. For this, we had as main
objectives the survey of environmental projects within the territorial limits of CLBI, creating a
marketing strategy of these projects and a survey of its stakeholders drawn from a
questionnaire available on the premises. The survey of environmental projects revealed a
wealth of research in botany, herpetology, ornithology that gave origin to several articles and
dissertations. For the marketing strategy was used the Centro de Cultura Espacial e
Informações Turísticas (CCEIT) structure. After analysis of their dependencies, an 'idle' area
has been identified for the establishment of a permanent display of four banners with content
from some environmental projects of major importance developed within the CLBI
boundaries. The results of the questionnaire revealed some visitors opinions on issues such
as the degree of importance of these projects, with the very important result in the opinion of
74% of respondents, as the visitor origin seeking information about the CLBI the survey
revealed that the most are coming from other Brazilian states, 14% foreign tourists. The
service at reception was rated excellent or good by 98% of users. Regarding the profile of
the respondents 61% were women and 63% had higher education. This profile is the same
reported by other authors when it comes to cultural tourists. After the completion of this work
was a clear need to improve the disclosure process with the inclusion of information in
English to meet the foreign visitor. We also suggest, for wider dissemination of the academic
research results developed in CLBI, creating a room in CCEIT dependencies exclusively for
display of this research with the presentation of pictures collections and results through
media, banners, pictures and movies.
