<description>Título: Os desafios e as perspectivas da política de refugiados no Brasil: um estudo sobre a proteção dos direitos humanos dos refugiados
Resumo: Brazil, a signatory of the 1951 Refugee Convention, also known as the Geneva Convention, has been demonstrating a commitment to welcoming people in situations of forced migration, including those from Venezuela, Haiti, Syria, Angola, etc. However, there is a challenge with the increasing number of refugees and ensuring the protection of their rights. In its Federal Constitution, Brazil aims to promote the "good for all, without prejudices of origin, race, sex, color, age, and any other forms of discrimination”. In light of this, the present study seeks to analyze, through a qualitative methodology involving deductive methods, document analysis, and statistical review, the main difficulties of Brazilian immigration and how to address them. In consideration of this, it becomes evident that Brazil, unlike other countries, has voluntarily committed itself to the legal reception of these peoples. While far from perfect, with serious issues regarding the delay in approval and the real guarantee of the rights of people in refuge, the mere fact that Brazil has committed to such reception is commendable. In contrast to many countries that merely sign non-binding declarations, Brazil has taken a tangible legal commitment to combat the problem. The situation of the forced migration crisis is global and cannot be contained by a single country. Therefore, it is concluded that to combat such conflicts, a modernization of the application of Brazilian policy, coupled with international cooperation, is necessary.
