      <title>A escala Meows na redução da mortalidade materna : identificação e monitoramento de riscos obstétricos</title>
      <link>http://repositorio.unirn.edu.br/jspui/handle/123456789/1113</link>
      <description>Título: A escala Meows na redução da mortalidade materna : identificação e monitoramento de riscos obstétricos
Resumo: Objective: To analyze how the implementation of the MEOWS scale can contribute to reducing maternal mortality. Method: During the months of March and April 2025, the research was carried out using the following cross-reference: (Maternal Mortality) AND (Clinical Deterioration) AND (Early Warning Score) through the following databases: Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature) and MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online), accessed through the Virtual Health Library. The stages of identification, screening, eligibility assessment and inclusion of articles were followed, culminating in 9 studies selected for this review. Results: Alert systems, such as MEOWS, provide early detection of signs of worsening in the clinical condition of pregnant and postpartum women, enabling an effective and immediate approach by the obstetric team. Conclusion: Based on the studies analyzed, it can be concluded that the application of the Modified Early Obstetric Warning System (MEOWS) would contribute to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality. It is essential to standardize the protocols and parameters present in this system, in addition to aligning its implementation with ongoing education and constant training of the professional nursing team.

      <title>O papel dos (as) enfermeiros (as) obstetras na segurança e bem-estar durante o parto domiciliar planejado</title>

      <description>Título: O papel dos (as) enfermeiros (as) obstetras na segurança e bem-estar durante o parto domiciliar planejado
Resumo: This study investigates the role of the obstetric nurse in ensuring the safety and &#xD;
well-being of the parturient during planned home birth (PHB). The research, an &#xD;
integrative literature review, addresses the historical transition of childbirth, the &#xD;
growing movement towards PHB in Brazil driven by dissatisfaction with the medicalized &#xD;
hospital model, and the essential role of obstetric nurses and midwives in this context. &#xD;
The results highlight that the choice for PHB is multifaceted, motivated by previous &#xD;
negative experiences, the search for protagonism, safety, and comfort in the family &#xD;
environment. Professional performance involves light, light-hard, and hard technologies, &#xD;
promoting empowerment and confidence. Despite the benefits, PHB faces challenges &#xD;
such as access elitization, absence of regulation in the SUS (Brazil's public healthcare &#xD;
system), social prejudice, and a lack of national scientific production. Future &#xD;
perspectives point to the inclusion of PHB in the SUS, valorization of obstetric nursing, &#xD;
and the need for public policies that democratize access. It is concluded that the &#xD;
obstetric nurse is indispensable for a safe and humanized PHB, and overcoming the &#xD;
challenges requires government support and cultural change.

      <title>Perfil de mortalidade por câncer de mama em mulheres jovens no Rio Grande do Norte : um estudo no período de 2010 a 2023</title>
      <link>http://repositorio.unirn.edu.br/jspui/handle/123456789/1110</link>
      <description>Título: Perfil de mortalidade por câncer de mama em mulheres jovens no Rio Grande do Norte : um estudo no período de 2010 a 2023
Resumo: Objective: This study aimed to identify the mortality profile from breast cancer among young women in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, from 2010 to 2023. Methodology: It is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, based on secondary data from the Mortality Information System (SIM), considering women aged 20 to 49 who died from malignant breast neoplasms. Sociodemographic variables such as age group, race/skin color, marital status, and education level were analyzed. Results: A total of 749 deaths were identified, with the highest frequency in the 45 to 49 age group (41.1%), followed by the 40 to 44 (27.9%) and 35 to 39 (20.6%) age groups. Most women were identified as mixed race (51.0%), single (39.0%) or married (37.7%), with the predominant education level ranging from 8 to 11 years of schooling (28.7%). An increase of approximately 41.6% in the number of deaths was observed over the study period, rising from 120 deaths in the 2010–2012 triennium to 170 in the 2021–2023 triennium. Discussion: The findings highlight a rising trend in mortality among young women and expose structural inequalities related to access to early diagnosis and cancer treatment. The lack of public policies specifically targeting mammography screening for women under 50, combined with the underrepresentation of this age group in awareness campaigns, significantly contributes to late-stage diagnoses. Conclusion: Identifying the victims’ profiles may support the development of public health policies that are more responsive to this population's specific needs, aiming to reduce mortality and promote equity in cancer care.

      <title>Manejo da enfermagem na síndrome de hellp: uma revisão integrativa</title>
      <link>http://repositorio.unirn.edu.br/jspui/handle/123456789/1108</link>
      <description>Título: Manejo da enfermagem na síndrome de hellp: uma revisão integrativa
Resumo: HELLP syndrome is one of the most severe and challenging obstetric complications &#xD;
in maternal health, requiring specialized attention and swift action from nursing &#xD;
professionals. This integrative review aimed to identify the best nursing practices for &#xD;
preventing this syndrome, based on the analysis of scientific studies published &#xD;
between 1993 and 2024. The findings reveal that nurses play a key role in the early &#xD;
detection of clinical signs, the implementation of evidence-based practices, and the &#xD;
continuous education of pregnant women. Active nursing involvement in prenatal &#xD;
care can significantly reduce the risk of progression  from mild to severe forms of the syndrome. The study also highlights knowledge gaps among Primary Care &#xD;
professionals, reinforcing the need for ongoing training and the implementation of &#xD;
specific clinical protocols. It concludes that valuing humanized care and the &#xD;
continuous professional development of nursing teams are essential pillars for the &#xD;
effective prevention of HELLP syndrome and for ensuring maternal safety.
