Resumo: Introduction: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive respiratory condition characterized by symptoms such as cough, sputum production, and shortness of breath, commonly associated with smoking and exposure to pollutants. In addition to pulmonary impairment, the disease also affects peripheral muscle strength. Objective: To evaluate, through an integrative review, the effects of physical therapy on peripheral muscle strengthening in patients with COPD. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, with searches conducted in the SciELO and PubMed databases using descriptors related to COPD, physical therapy, and rehabilitation. Results: The findings indicate that interventions involving resistance exercises, combined approaches, and electrical stimulation lead to functional improvements and enhanced quality of life. Conclusion: Further research with standardized protocols is needed to validate these therapeutic approaches.

<summary type="text">Título: Impacto do exercício físico em pacientes com hipertensão arterial sistêmica: revisão integrativa da literatura.
Resumo: Introduction: The search for a balanced and healthy life inevitably involves taking care of one's physical and mental health. In the context of systemic arterial hypertension (SAH), a chronic and multifactorial disease that affects a large part of the adult and elderly population, the practice of physical exercises emerges as an important non-pharmacological strategy for controlling blood pressure, being the main object of study in this research. Objective: Given this scenario, it is essential to question which is the best physiotherapeutic approach in the treatment of systemic arterial hypertension and which exercises lead to the most benefits for a better quality of life. Methods: The study was characterized as a bibliographic review, the data collected were critically analyzed from simple descriptive qualitative literature, with the aim of analyzing the impact of physical exercise on patients diagnosed with systemic arterial hypertension. Results: Studies indicate that both aerobic and resistance exercise alone are effective in reducing BP, with combined training (aerobic + resistance) standing out for promoting the greatest reduction in SBP among the protocols evaluated. These results reinforce the importance of programs that integrate multiple exercise modalities in the management of hypertension. Conclusion: It is concluded that regular physical exercise has a significant and positive impact on the control of hypertension, contributing to the reduction of blood pressure levels and promoting benefits to cardiovascular health and the quality of life of patients. Despite the scientific evidence proving its effectiveness, there are still gaps in defining the best strategies. Therefore, it is essential that new studies be carried out to improve recommendations and personalize interventions, ensuring increasingly effective and safe approaches for the management of hypertension.

<summary type="text">Título: A atuação da fisioterapia nos cuidados paliativos em pacientes oncológicos : revisão integrativa da literatura
Resumo: Introduction: Cancer has emerged as one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality in the world, the most common being prostate, breast, colorectal, lung and thyroid cancer. Physiotherapy has established itself as an essential part of the multidisciplinary team, with emphasis on palliative care, especially in cancer patients. Its actions aim to promote symptom relief, improve quality of life and preserve functionality. Objective: to describe and show the importance of physiotherapy in palliative care for cancer patients. Methods: this is an integrative review of the literature, using as inclusion criteria studies published in full, in journals in English and Portuguese, covering the period from 2017 to 2024. Results: The collection of studies selected in the databases consisted of 122 articles, taking into account the already established inclusion and exclusion criteria, with 10 scientific articles being selected for the final sample. Conclusion: it was possible to observe in the research that palliative care and physiotherapeutic treatment are essential to ensure that cancer patients receive adequate support at all stages of the disease.

<summary type="text">Título: Intervenções fisioterapêuticas na melhora do equilíbrio e prevenção de quedas em idosos com Parkinson : uma revisão integrativa da literatura
Resumo: Global population aging leads to an increase in chronic diseases such as Parkinson's Disease (PD), which significantly affects balance and increases the risk of falls in the elderly. Physiotherapy plays a key role in preventing falls in this population. This study conducted a systematic literature review to assess the effectiveness of physiotherapy interventions in improving balance and preventing falls in elderly individuals with PD. The research, of a qualitative and quantitative nature, sought to identify and analyze scientific articles in databases such as PubMed, SciELO, BVS and Cochrane, published between 2001 and 2024 (with a focus on 2019-2024), in English, Portuguese and Spanish. The methodology followed the PRISMA guidelines. Preliminary results indicate that balance training, muscle strengthening and gait training with visual/auditory feedback demonstrate effectiveness. The most effective approaches combine strength, balance and feedback, with continuous interventions lasting at least 12 weeks. Despite advances, there are still gaps in the literature, such as the need for studies with larger samples and longer duration. This study contributes to the optimization of clinical practice, summarizing the best physiotherapy practices for this population.
