Resumo: Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory disease, and its relationship with body composition has attracted growing interest, particularly due to the limitations of Body Mass Index (BMI) in reflecting adiposity and body fat distribution. This systematic review aimed to determine whether assessment based solely on BMI might underestimate body composition changes in women with endometriosis when compared to methods that account for adiposity and body fat distribution. Searches were conducted in the PubMed, LILACS, and SciELO databases; following the selection process, eight studies met the eligibility criteria. The results showed that, although BMI is inversely associated with the presence of endometriosis, this indicator fails to identify changes related to body composition and visceral adiposity. In contrast, measures such as body fat percentage and body circumferences, along with indices like the Lipid Accumulation Product and the Visceral Adiposity Index, provided more sensitive information regarding these women's anthropometric profiles. Therefore, relying exclusively on BMI may underestimate significant body composition changes in women with endometriosis; consequently, combining it with other anthropometric indicators is recommended for a more comprehensive nutritional assessment.

    <title>Eficácia da tirzepatida no controle do peso e da composição corporal em adultos com obesidade e/ou diabetes tipo 2: uma revisão integrativa</title>

    <description>Título: Eficácia da tirzepatida no controle do peso e da composição corporal em adultos com obesidade e/ou diabetes tipo 2: uma revisão integrativa
Resumo: Objective: To analyze the efficacy of tirzepatide in the treatment of obesity and T2DM in adults&#xD;
within the context of general lifestyle interventions, discussing its effects on body composition,&#xD;
physiological mechanisms, and clinical applicability.&#xD;
Methods: This is an integrative literature review conducted according to PRISMA guidelines.&#xD;
Searches were performed in PubMed/MEDLINE, ScienceDirect, Virtual Health Library (BVS), and&#xD;
SciELO using descriptors related to tirzepatide, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and dietary intervention.&#xD;
Studies published between 2020 and 2025 in English or Portuguese and involving adult populations&#xD;
were included. A total of 15 studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the final analysis.&#xD;
&#xD;
Results: The findings indicate that tirzepatide promotes significant weight loss and glycemic control,&#xD;
with superior outcomes compared to placebo and, in specific scenarios, compared to agents such&#xD;
as semaglutide at certain doses. Substudies demonstrate that weight loss occurs predominantly&#xD;
through fat mass reduction, alongside decreased intramuscular fat. Mechanistic evidence suggests&#xD;
integrated effects on satiety, energy intake, and glucose-lipid metabolism, although without definitive&#xD;
mechanistic superiority over other incretin-based therapies. Real-world studies indicate favorable&#xD;
treatment persistence and a potential reduction in the risk of developing T2DM, although these&#xD;
findings are subject to observational biases.&#xD;
Conclusion: Tirzepatide shows robust evidence of efficacy in weight reduction and metabolic&#xD;
improvement in individuals with obesity and T2DM. However, current literature does not allow the&#xD;
identification of specific dietary strategies that optimize its effects, highlighting an important research&#xD;
gap. Its use should be considered within a continuous multidisciplinary care model, including&#xD;
nutritional and behavioral support.&#xD;
Keywords: Tirzepatide; Obesity; Type 2 diabetes mellitus; Body composition; Nutritional&#xD;
intervention.

    <title>Análise comparativa das diretrizes nutricionais esportivas sobre suplementação para otimização da performance esportiva</title>
    <link>http://repositorio.unirn.edu.br/jspui/handle/123456789/1886</link>
    <description>Título: Análise comparativa das diretrizes nutricionais esportivas sobre suplementação para otimização da performance esportiva
Resumo: The use of nutritional ergogenic aids has increased significantly among athletes and physically active individuals due to the growing interest in improving sports performance and recovery. In this context, supplements such as creatine, caffeine, beta-alanine, nitrate, glycerol and sodium bicarbonate have gained attention in the scientific literature because of their potential ergogenic effects. The aim of this study was to critically analyze the scientific evidence regarding the efficacy, mechanisms of action, supplementation protocols and safety of these compounds in sports performance optimization. This study consists of a narrative literature review conducted through searches in PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus and SciELO databases, complemented by official scientific position statements. The findings indicate that creatine, caffeine, beta-alanine and sodium bicarbonate present the strongest evidence for performance enhancement in different sports contexts, whereas nitrate and glycerol show promising but less conclusive results. It is concluded that ergogenic aids should be used according to updated scientific evidence and individualized recommendations considering the athlete's characteristics, sport modality and training goals.
